Accordion-folded Flower

Directions:

1) Cut card stock or Designer Series paper to 12" x 3/4".SAB09_techniquee_1




2) Score strip every 1/4" the entire length of the card stock and accordion fold the score lines.









3) Adhere ends of card stock together (Sticky Strip works well). Let dry.SAB09_techniquee_2













4) Holding the card stock with two hands, twist one edge of the strip into the center as shown to create SAB09_techniquee_3 a flower shape.





5) Adhere a punched circle to the flower center on one or both sides (Pop-Up Glue Dots work well) to hold shape in place.

Tip:

Experiment with different sizes and score intervals to create the desired shape of your flower.

Kissing

1) Ink a patterned stamp, such as one of our background stamps.012007-fig1_v2

2) Press a solid, uninked stamp against the patterned stamp, transferring the pattern to the 012007-fig2_v2 solid stamp.

3) Stamp the solid image on card stock.012007-fig3_v2

Tips: 012007-fig4_v2

  • After completing Step 2, the patterned stamp can also be used for a "reverse kissing" look.

  • Before completing Step 2, you could ink your solid stamp image with a lighter color.

    Instructions

    1. Cut two sheets of Pumpkin Pie card stock (8-1/2" x 11") into 1" wide strips. Wheel Bella’s Border in Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock strips. Punch hole through top and bottom of strips using Crop-A-Dile. Knot bottom of Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (4") and thread through holes; knot top of ribbon and spread strips of card stock to create pumpkin shape.
    2. Tie Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon (24") in a bow; adhere bow to top of pumpkin.
    3. Stamp leaf image twice in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock (6" x 6"); cut out. Adhere one leaf to top of pumpkin.
    4. Stamp name in Old Olive ink and “With gratitude” in Basic Gray ink on Very Vanilla card stock (4" x 1-1/2"). Punch left corners using Tag Corner punch. Attach Silver eyelet to tag using Crop-A-Dile. Adhere second leaf to tag; adhere tag to pumpkin using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Thread linen thread through eyelet and tie to bow.

    Masking


    Online_training_1041) Stamp your image twice: once on card stock and once on a scrap piece of paper or sticky note.

    2) Cut out the image on the scrap paper using either a hobby blade or your Paper Snips.

    3) Place the cutout image over the image you stamped on your card stock.

    4) Sponge or bray ink, or stamp another image over your mask.

    5) Repeat masking as desired.


    6) Remove mask and finish your project.
