Flower Pin

Blog Photos 86325_edited-1

This past week was Teacher Appreciation week and I had to go out of town for my job, so Sunday night I started making a few projects and needed something quick & easy. The theme for one of the days this week was "flower day", so I created these. I thought a corsage would make any teacher feel special for the day and they loved them! I received the sweetest thank you notes and the teachers wore them all week. With tomorrow being Mother's Day, make one for yourself, mom or grandmother to wear and make them feel special too!

I used the Daisies die cut with my Big Shot, but the flower needed to be fuller, so I doubled it and layered them together with a Tombo glue. Attached a Filgree or Circle Brad in the center. Cut 4" piece of satin ribbon, fold in half and attach to the back with adhesive. I then used 1-1/4" circle punch with the same paper I used on the flower and attached to the back to hide the prongs on the brad. Next, I attached an adhesive pin (found these at Wal-Mart in the craft aisle where they sell jewelery making products) on the back. Fluffed the flower and done.

Here's a close up view:
