PPA 221 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends,

We have a fun sketch challenge for you this week at Pals Paper Arts. It's so exciting for me to see all your amazing entries. I hope you play along with us this week to show off your creativity!
  • I opted for quick and easy for this challenge.
  • I used the 1-1/4" square punch to punch out these groovy, retro cameras from Flashback Designer Series Paper.
  • I'm a scrapbooker at heart and it  wasn't all that along ago, finding DSP with cameras proved to be a challenge. Recently, photography themed items are appearing everywhere, so I was excited to see Flashback DSP in the 2014-2015 annual catalog. I love the fun & fresh colors and patterns and I'm sure you will too!
  • The greeting is from Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set.
  • These beautifully designed thoughts will add just the right finishing touches to your cards and projects.
  • The clear mount images are diverse and fabulous, just like your card!

PPA 219 - Color Challenge

This week ay Pals Paper Arts we have a gorgeous color challenge for you. We are creating projects using Crushed Curry, Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze. All the warm and beautiful colors of Autumn!

To create the feathers:
  •  I stamped the image on Whisper White Card Stock and and cut them out with Paper Snips.
  • To give the feathers dimension, I laid them on the Stampin' Pierce Mat and took a stylus and gently traced along the main shaft and gave them a slight pinch.
  •  I used the new Fringe Scissors to create the barbs.
I'm thinking a few more of these feathers and a little brown body would make for a darling turkey for place cards, napkin rings, etc. for my Thanksgiving table.

Thanks for stopping by!
