Hello Friends!

It's Thursday and time for another Pals Paper Arts challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you try, created by our talented designer, Nicole Watt. We hope you play along with us this week and we're excited to see what you create!

  • Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack - great size for card fronts, but useful for anything.
  • Lost Lagoon Card Stock and Ink  - the new In-Colors are only available for two years.

Stampin' Up Products:
Stamps: Bloom With Hope
Paper: Whisper White CS, Lost Lagoon CS, Moonlight DSP Paper Stack
Ink: VersaMark and Lost Lagoon
Tools / Accessories: Circle Framelits, Big Shot Die Cutting machine, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool,  Stampin' Dimensionals, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Whisper White Bakers Twine and White Embossing Powder.

Today's card is for my sisters birthday. Happy Birthday Sis! Love you and hope you have the best day ever!

I  used all new products from the New Annual Catalog:
  • Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities Markers - they are fabulous and blend beautifully! They are so easy to color with and you're going to love them!
    What Sets Them Apart:
    • The Stampin' Up! rectangular barrel keeps your markers from rolling away!
    • Flat storage helps to maintain the life of each marker.
    • Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.
    • Marker tips are made of nylon, which is superior to polyester which can fray.
    • Color coded caps.
    • Stampin' Up! markers coordinate wonderfully with our cardstock, and can be used with transparent sheets.
  • Bloom With Hope Hostess Stamp Set - two stamp sets with gorgeous flowers - perfect for coloring.
  • Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack - full of wonderful designs and the In-Colors including: Basic Gray, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
  • Blackberry Bliss CS - 2014-2016 In Color
  • Blackberry Bliss Satin Stitched Ribbon - his soft gorgeous ribbon ties beautifully and has tone-on-tone  stitched lines down the center in 2014-2016 In Colors.

Out with the old - Pals Blog Hop

 2014mayhop_badge
Welcome to the May Pals Blog Hop. This is the first hop on our new day - the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin' Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from #8 Michelle Quinno at Shell's Life on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

I'm always excited to see the new catalog each year, but also sad to see some of my favorite products retiring, especially the Dies! My faves this year I'm saying good by to are:
  •  Delightful Dozen Stamp Set (clear) #122652 or (wood) #128547 - this the perfect little stamp set for all occasions.
  • Scallop Circle Bigz Die #113468 - this is my favorite for making round cards. Perfect for cutting chipboard too.
  • Tasteful Trim Bigz Die #120893 - this die I adore and you will continue see me posting projects using it to make custom edges and borders. It has scallops, rick rack, and pinking designs--a fantastic variety of classic options.
  • Blossom Party Originals Die #115971 - you can make the most beautiful flowers with this die.
  • Little Leaves Sizzlits Die #114511 - don't you love how simple and elegant a small stem of leaves can be?
  • Modern Medley DSP #126926 - classic patterns in classic styles. I have quite a stash of this DSP.
  • Raspberry Ripple Card Stock #126842 - this was my fave In-Color from the 2012-2014 Collection.
  • Raspberry Ripple Satin Ribbon #126845 - gorgeous satin ribbon.
  • Naturals Designer Buttons #127554 - trendy, wood-like adornments.

There you have it and if you haven't seen the list of retiring products, the links are provided below:
  • Retiring Stamps (Available April 21-June 4, 2014, or while supplies last)
  • Retiring Accessories (Available April 21-June 4, 2014, or while supplies last)

TIP: Do you love to add Stickles to your projects? You can make your own with Stampin' Up! Ink Refills for a color coordinated project! I learned this nifty trick several years ago from Julee Tilman's blog - Poetic Artistry.
  • Mix some Crystal Effects #101055 with a pinch of Dazzling Diamonds #102023 and add a drop of your color choice of Stampin' Up! Ink Refill.
  • If it's too runny, add more glitter. Too thick add more Crystal Effects.
  • Apply with a very fine brush or stylus.
The next stop is #10 Amy Lazzell at Just A Thought...Cards by Amy on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.

PPA 203 - A Color Challenge

I love the colors for this weeks Pals Paper Art challenge!  We're using Cajun Craze, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. I think it's such a gorgeous combination!

  • The flower was so easy to create with the  Mixed Bunch Stamp Set. I stamped the flower image in Night of Navy Ink 3 times onto Cajun Craze card Stock and punched out the flowers using the coordinating Blossom Punch.
  • To give the flower dimension, I curled the petals around the handle of a small paint brush and sponged the edges in Night Of Navy Ink. Assembled with Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • My project contains lots of stamping, sponging, lots of layers and a couple retiring products.
  • I'm sad to say this is the first time I've used the Blue 3/8" Denim Jean Ribbon 125053 and now it's leaving. It gorgeous and I'm not sure why I haven't used it before now.
Blue 3/8 Inch Denim Jean Ribbon
  • Naturals Designer Buttons are also retiring 127554. Love the wood look of these little beauty's!
