PPA 241 - a sketch challenge

 Hello Friends!

Do you ever get stuck for ideas? Sketches help alleviate hours of frustration for me and prevent that creative road block trying to find the perfect placement of my card components. This week at Pals Paper Arts, we have a wonderful sketch created by the very talented Nicole Watt. I hope you enjoy it and play along with us!

  • Add beautiful blossoms to any project with the Petal Potpourri and Flower Medallion Punch Bundle and save 15%. Create a bouquet, a garden, or a single perfect bloom. These Two-Step stamps give you so many creative options--combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want.

  • There's just something I love about black & white with a pop of red. Stacked with Love Designers Series Paper Stacks are the perfect size for card fronts and backgrounds and a total 48 (4-1/2" x 6-1/2") double-sided designs is a great value for $6.95.

Enjoy your day!

PPA 239 - a color challenge

Can you believe it's Thursday already and time for another color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. This week we are playing with Crumb Cake, Real Red and Soft Suede. I adore this color combination!

  • I think I'm going through a shabby-chic-vintage sort of phase and I have been obsessed with making flowers. The largest flower on today's project, I made using Stampin' Up!'s  new Fun Flower punch.
  • I punched out three flowers in crumb cake, sponged the edges and used McGills Paper Blossom Tool Kit and Stampin' Pierce Mat to give the petals some dimension. For the center, I punched two flowers using the the Boho Blossom punch....quick and easy!

  • To add a little something-something under the spray of flowers, I took the new White Jute Ribbon and cut it into single strips. The ribbon is 1-1/4" wide and is so pretty and ties beautifully! I purchased a couple rolls so you'll be seeing it on a lot of future projects :)
Enjoy your day!

Pals blog hop - share what you love!

Welcome to the February Pals Blog Hop. This month we are sharing what we love - our favorite Stampin' Up! products and our favorite crafting techniques.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from #6 Amy Hoptay at Inking of you. Use the full lineup below to move along from blog to blog so you see all of the new projects.

I love all of Stampin' Up!'s products! Oh, I was skeptical when I was first introduced to stamping, but I quickly saw the difference when using quality products. The results are always beautiful.

To create the flower:
  • Punch 3 flowers in Whisper White CS using the Fun Flower punch & 3, 1-1/4" Scallop Circles.
  • Lightly mist, both sides, of all 6 with water.
  • Pinch pleat each of  the petals, punched with the Fun Flower Punch.
  • For the center, wrap the 3, 1-1/4" Scallop Circles  around the end of a stylus, paint brush handle or whatever you may have, and pinch tight.
  • Let all 6 flowers dry completely.
  • Slightly open the pinched petals.
  • Attach the layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Sponge the tips in Night of Navy ink.

The next stop is #8 Susan Lankford at Stamp and Create With Susan  on the Pals Blog Hop! I know Susan will have a fabulous project to share with you. Thanks for visiting and I'll see you next month.
