PPA 227 - Color Challenge

At Pals Paper Arts this week, our Color Team has come up with three gorgeous autumn colors for your palette this week:  Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie. We hope you can play along with us!

  • I sponged the three colors onto Whisper White card stock and cut the images using the Autumn Accents and Flower Frenzy Bigz L dies. I have a weakness for all the Bigz and Original dies, because they are like no other. These versatile dies are backed by the thickest blade and have a powerful cut. Just one die creates amazing shapes from card stock, chipboard, magnet, poly foam, metallic foil, shrink film and even fabric. That makes them a wise investment and paper crafting necessity.
  • To give the leaves some texture I inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Stamp Review Crew: kinda eclectic

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! We are featuring Stampin' Up!s Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set. We hope you enjoy our projects!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Heidi Baks #12 on the Stamp Review Crew Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I have been making these cute boxes to hold matching card sets. I altered the dimensions of a previous box I created to hold an adorable set of  3" x 3" cards & envelopes.

  • I adore this stamp set and use it often. I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it. There's a little of everything here, but they all work together for some unique layering and depth to your projects

  • I also made the same box a little larger to hold 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" cards.  Click here to view a previous video for a smaller version of the box I made for Halloween candy.

To make the box to hold a set of 3" x 3" cards:
Whisper White CS: 6-1/2" x 10-1/2"
Score in the landscape position: 3-1/2", 5", 8-1/2", 10
Score in the portrait position: 1-1/2", 4-1/2", 6"
Assemble following the instructions in the video

  • Put some style in Halloween this year and delight your little ghosts and goblins with goodies wrapped in the Motley Monsters DSP.
  • The Good Greetings Stamp Set is extremely versatile and will cover holidays from Halloween to Valentine's Day and beyond!
  • Stretch your hostess dollars further by purchasing specialty priced hostess-only items. (Annual catalog p.237-239)
  •  What are hostess dollars you ask? You can earn $160 or more by hosting a party for your friends and you'll earn hostess dollars while they shop in person or on-line. It's crazy easy!
