PPA 215 - Color Challenge

 Hello Friends!

It's Thursday again and time for a color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. For this color challenge we have chosen Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black.

Rules for the Gallery:
  • We invite you to use ANY brand of products to create your card and papercraft projects.
  • Digitally created projects (such as My Digital Studio) are also welcome.
  • Entry should be new and inspired, totally or partially, by this challenge
  • Please use keyword PPA215 when uploading to public galleries.
  • Incorrect links are not eligible for Pals Picks, and may be deleted.
  • Inlinkz will close at Noon (EST) Tuesday, August 19th, 2014.
  • We'll announce our Pals Paper Artist Picks on August 20th, 2014
For my project today, I used the new Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die 133728 from the Annual Catalog. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I could sit for hours & hours making flowers. This die has so many wonderful flower and leaf shapes, so you'll be seeing me use it a lot!

How I made the flower:
  • I cut out two of each flower shape in Whisper White CS and then sponged them in Strawberry Slush Ink and used my bone folder to curl the edges. Then glued them together using multipurpose glue.
  • To make the stamen I cut out several in Basic Black, adhered them together, sprayed lightly with water and wrapped them over the tip of a stylus to make them stand up and glued to the center.
  • For the leaves I cut out three in Whisper White CS, scored in the center and sponged in Pear Pizzazz Ink.

Pals Blog Hop - Too cool for school
Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August. This month we are showing off our favorite crafting tools - those Stampin' Up! tools that we just can't live without. We hope you enjoy our projects!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Sue Becker at RnR Stamping #1 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

My favorite tool are the new Blendabilities! These exclusive, alcohol-based marker sets come in a 3-pack of light, medium and dark shades (of the same color), and provide your projects a more saturated look with blended colors. We recommend using Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock and  Memento Ink with your Stampin' Up! Blendabilities, but choosing any one of our cardstocks will add a unique look to your project.

What Sets Them Apart:
  • The Stampin' Up! rectangular barrel keeps your markers from rolling away!
  • Flat storage helps to maintain the life of each marker.
  • Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.
  • Marker tips are made of nylon, which is superior to polyester which can fray.
  • Color coded caps.
  • Stampin' Up! markers coordinate wonderfully with our cardstock, and can be used with transparent sheets.

The next stop is Susan Lankford at Stamp and Create With Susan  #3 on the Pals Blog Hop and I know Susan will have something fabulous creation to share! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.
