PPA 277 - a sketch challenge

During this time of Thanksgiving celebration my thoughts turn gratefully to you with warm appreciation!

If you get a chance to squeeze a little crafting time in this week between cooking, spending time with family and shopping, we have a sketch challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts. It's a simple sketch with so many possibilities. I hope you find the time to play along with us this week.

  • For my project, I started with black and metallic gold striped paper from the Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP from the holiday catalog. It is the most beautiful paper.

  • To soften the card, I covered it with the Winter Wonderland Vellum, which is also very pretty. My remedial photography skills, do not do it justice.
  • To continue the black and gold theme, I added some Gold Cording Trim, embossed the greeting in gold onto black card stock and added some some gorgeous Gold Satin Ribbon.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and thank you for visiting!

  1. Beth - all of these pops of gold are STUNNING. You've really showcased this Designer Vellum perfectly and accented it with all the right shine. The satin ribbon is absolutely gorgeous!

  11. OMG! I think I say this about all of your cards, but I sure do wish this one was getting sent to me! LOL! Such perfect placement of each element :) I especially love the gold loops - it's a nice twist on the loops we're always putting behind an element. It really dresses up the squared sentiment.
