Our featured sketch designer this week at Pals Paper Arts is Linda Callahan. I adore her flawless creations. Hop on over to check out her gorgeous card and the rest of my team members. I know you will be inspired to play along with us this week.
Have you seen the Love Blossoms suite in the Occasions Catalog? Isn't it gorgeous! If you haven't seen it and would like a catalog, send me an email (bethbeard@att.net) with your name and mailing address and I'll send it to you. Plus, during Sale-A-Bration you earn free products for every $50 purchase. This is the best sale of the year.
Over the years I have tried various distressing tools and even an electric one and I didn't really care for any of them. The paper always looked more tormented than distressed. Then recently, I used my Paper Snips and I was so surprised at the results. I don't why it never occurred to me before, so I thought I would share that in case you were like me and wanted the distressed look but had troubles achieving it. If you're in need of a good pair of sharp scissors, try Stampin' Up! Paper Snips, you won't be disappointed. They are item #103579.
For my project I used the Bloomin' Love stamp set and Love Blossoms DS Paper Stack. You get 48 sheets for $8 and to me, that's a great value. Love, love, love the colors; Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Rose Red and Whisper White.
